b) you started the course from a different location on the same computer. For example, first from DVD and later from hard disk.

All versions. Deactivate

Serial/Registration number:

Version 1.2 Mac OS.X.6. Snow Leopard .Slow performance
Symptom: ABCinema performs very slow when running under Apple's new operating system.
Cause: In the "war" between Apple and Flash, the warring parties have apparently forgotten the credo that new software changes should not affect existing applications (backwards compatible). In this case it appears that Flash Player version 9 is not behaving well under OS X.6. And this is the version that ABCinema uses.
Remedy. There is a new compiled Apple version of the course which is suitable for OS X.6. It uses Flash Player 10.
Installation of the update:
- Deactivate the course if you already used it (via Help menu or via the website);
- Copy the course from the DVD to a folder on hard disk;
- Download this zip file to the folder (Apple OS X 6.zip)
- Unzip the files in the folder (overwrite/replace).
- Start the application by double clicking the unzipped file ABCinema.

Alle versions. Movie Player
The film jumps to another position when I start playing. Several films are protected by copyright. For this reason we only use short fragments of these protected movies: film quotes. When a particular excerpt is longer than the film quote, the movie player will only play the quote part.
For example, if an excerpt has a duration of 300 seconds and we use the part between second 50 and 100 as a film quote, you cannot play the first (0-50) and the last part (100-300). The accessible range is indicated in the player. Top left shows the start second; top right the end second.

All versions. Brightness
Some excerpt may appear a little dark. In such a case, you can adjust the brightness of your screen. With laptops you can usually change the settings with
- Less bright: Fn-key + arrow left
- More bright: Fn-key + arrow right.

All versions. Sound
The sound dynamics between the excerpts have a large range. There are two volume sliders which allow you to adjust the sound level of each individual excerpt. In this context it is advised (especially with laptops) to connect separate speakers to the speaker port.

All versions. Windows. No Focus After Startup: Beep
In rare cases it can occur that the course does not receive focus after startup. In such a case, if you mouse click anywhere on the course, you hear a Beep sound. The cause is unknown.
Remedy 1: Click on another program and then back to the course. Usually this is adequate and you can continue.
Remedy 2: Click with the right mouse button on the ABCinema icon on the taskbar. Select minimize. Then click again on the icon to show the program.

Version 1.2 Chapter 2: Video
Color Mixer is not working. This is a bug in Flash. Whether it occurs depends on the operating system. It occurs when you maximize or minimize ABCinema. Remedy: close ABCinema and start the course again. As long as the size of the course does not change the color mixer remains accessible.

Version 1.2 Chapter 6: Sound
Sound panel is not working. This is a bug in Flash. Whether it occurs depends on the operating system. It occurs when you maximize or minimize ABCinema. Remedy: close ABCinema and start the course again. As long as the size of the course does not change the color mixer remains accessible.
